Happy Read Across America Day! Wednesday, March 2 is also Dr. Seuss’s birthday.
We couldn’t put together our scavenger hunts without books — trivia books, tour books, anthologies of local stories. And we know plenty of fellow bookworms join us on our scavenger hunts. We’re collectors of knowledge. We not only like to learn, we like to play with our lessons. And that’s the best thing about books — those words don’t just stay on the page, they dance in our heads and come with us through our lives.
Dr. Seuss has inspired millions of children to become readers and learners. We’re currently working on a child-focused hunt — and every other hunt is for the child within!
